One hour a week of volunteering can make a big difference to people lives!

Many people know about the invaluable work that Macmillan Cancer Support do for people with cancer and those who care for them, but not so many are aware of the services that are provided in partnership with healthcare organisations and the opportunities for volunteers within these services.

City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP CIC), who provide a range of local health and care services, are working in partnership with  Macmillan with  Specialist Palliative Care at Home Project to help support palliative patients and their families in their own homes. As part of this, CHCP CIC are recruiting volunteers to support patients and their families who are being cared for by the team.

We have various volunteering opportunities available as follows:-

  • Macmillan Befriender
  • Macmillan Dementia Support
  • Immediate Bereavement Volunteer
  • Macmillan Allotment Volunteer
  • Publicity Champion
  • Arts and Crafts group support
  • Project support volunteer
