Three local charities benefit from over £5000 at the City Health Care Partnership CIC Annual General Meeting

City Health Care Partnership CIC held their second Annual General last night at the Village Hotel, welcoming over 65 staff shareholders to formally receive the companies’ Annual Accounts and Report.

To mark the progress and development as social co-owned business over the past twelve months, CHCP CIC awarded £5,400 to three charities in the region through a staff shareholder voting process that took place on the evening.

Andrew Burnell Chief Executive said: “The year 2011/12 has been a fantastic year of both growth and consolidation for CHCP CIC, delivering and providing the highest quality health care to people Hull and the East Riding.  Our co-owned business model has enabled a proactive and flexible approach that is responsive to the needs of the patient population and the local community.”

As part of the commitment to contributing to the wider community, £10 for every £1 share held by staff, was distributed amongst the three charities, in total £5400 was awarded. The percentage vote went to Hull & East Riding Panthers Disability Triathlon club who will receive £3400 and both CatZero and Local Works Awards will each be awarded £1,000.

Andrew continues: “Our local community remain at the heart of our business and these one-off charitable donations are great a way of contributing to health and wellbeing of our local community and at the same time empowering our staff shareholders.”

CHCP CIC’s latest Annual Report is available to download from the website today.  The report highlights the continued accomplishments that have been achieved through a good balance of high quality health care, effective and efficient resource management and growth across the majority of CHCP CIC business units.

In addition, the shareholders formally accepted the 2011/12 Social Accounts.
