Caring Callers volunteering
The CISS 'Caring Callers' service is currently recruiting a range of volunteers who will be trained and supported to deliver telephone support or face-to-face visits to carers who may need a confidence boost or help to regain some independence.
There will also be another arm to this service in Hull which will offer bereavement support to carers for which additional training will be provided.
The service will be heavily dependent on volunteers. We are particularly looking for volunteers who are good listeners, are non-judgemental and who want to help others in their community.
All expenses incurred when volunteering will be reimbursed. The opportunity is open to everybody who is over 18 years of age with a few hours to spare, dependant on a DBS check.
