Community Paediatric Service
The Community Paediatric Medical Service is part of a wider Community Paediatric Network across Hull and East Riding and is made up of a consultant and specialist children's doctors.
We provide a range of services, including assessing and managing childhood developmental problems such as developmental delay, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders. We also help with long-term support for children who have a disability or complex needs such as cerebral palsy.
We provide statutory health assessments and support for looked-after children, including those going forward for adoption and provide advice to the local authorities for children who have special educational needs.
We offer clinics throughout Hull and East Riding to stop children being admitted to hospital where possible. Where children do have to go into hospital, we work closely with community paediatrics and hospital services to help get them home again as soon as possible.
