Health Trainers are Tackling Men’s Health in Hull

22 June, 2010

In support of national Men’s Health Week, City Health Care Partnership’s Health Trainers are hitting the town to provide health information and advice to the men of Hull.

Throughout the week the trainers, along with the mobile unit,  will be at numerous sites across the city sharing information on a range of men’s health issues including diet, smoking, weight management, alcohol and general wellbeing. As well as advice, the team can signpost men to health services in the city as appropriate and are giving away 300 gym passes!

The team have spent today at the Asda store on Hessle Road where they have engaged with over 150 people, referring people to the local stop smoking service and weight management programmes.  In addition healthy hearts checks were carried out throughout the day.
