A St Helens charity that helps refugees and asylum seekers to bring life back to old bikes so they can use them as transport, was boosted recently by a grant of £874 from City Health Care Partnership Foundation.
Community join together to mark Integrated Care Centre anniversary
Friday 5 July 2019 will mark a year since the Jean Bishop Integrated Care Centre (ICC) officially opened its doors to patients in Hull; with a special ‘birthday party’ set to take place at the centre to celebrate the achievements of the team and the difference being made to the lives of local patients.

Festival of Football
The Oral Health Promotion team attended this weekend event in South Cave. Unfortunately it rained nearly all day. However this didn't stop the team from raising awareness of the sugar contents of some popular energy and sports drinks with the families who braved the bad weather. Despite the conditions, this event was very well attended and many people went away with appropriate oral health freebies and a better understanding of sugar / acidic levels of many familiar drinks.
National Smile Month
National Smile Month 2019
The Oral Health Team have been busy during this month long national event, visiting Withernsea, Bridlington and Hull. All the sessions were very successful and the team were able to engage with a variety of ages which provided a good cross section of the population. The events were held in various locations from Leisure Centres to Shopping Centres. They were very well attended and the team thoroughly enjoyed promoting oral health information to people across both localities.
New ‘green health grants’ to encourage environmental activity
City Health Care Partnership Foundation charity is offering a new type of grant for groups who are working to protect the environment, tackle climate change and educate young people about how they can help to save our planet whilst also demonstrating how they will improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve by meeting one or more of the existing charity objectives.
IOPC launches ‘Make Yourself Heard’ campaign to raise awareness of silent 999 system
A national campaign to raise awareness of a system to help people alert police when in imminent danger but unable to speak, is being launched by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) today (8th April 2019).
