CHCP’s survey results paint a positive picture

City Health Care Partnership’s annual patient survey and its partner, the colleague survey, show that people who feel valued and included provide the best services.
The patient survey, conducted by independent experts SMSR, used in-depth interviews with 2,392 people who’d used one or more of over 50 services provided by CHCP. 95% of respondents said they would recommend these services to friends or family.
In the colleague survey, 91% of staff at the co-owned social enterprise said they would recommend its services for care or treatment; one person said, “CHCP has very knowledgeable staff who are caring and compassionate,” suggesting a clear link between colleague and patient satisfaction.
Patients said they particularly valued friendly and approachable staff, clear communication, professional care, feeling listened to and receiving practical advice. Staff commented on CHCP’s support and encouragement as an employer, with 78% of the workforce completing the survey (1,680 people). “Coming up to my 4th year working within CHCP, it is, by far, the most supportive company I have ever worked for. I would 100% recommend CHCP as a place of work,” was one comment.
The proportion of patients who said they would recommend CHCP CIC services has increased from 91% in 2021/22 to 95% in 2025/26. A patient at our Quays primary care service said, " The doctor I saw was very helpful and knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Listened and helped immediately."
CHCP’s chief executive Yvonne Elliott said, “These results show that patients continue to value the care and compassion demonstrated by our teams and that our colleagues feel valued and respected in turn. We will use the feedback to protect what works well while focusing on the areas where patients and colleagues have told us their experience could be better, because there is always room for improvement and we want to continue to provide the best possible safe, quality services for the people in our communities.”
