CHCP tops 45,000 Friends and Family Test responses

13 May, 2025

People in Hull, the East Riding and Merseyside who use CHCP's services are encouraged to give feedback on their experiences through the Friends and Family Test (FFT). Last year 45,130 forms were filled in, with 95.4% rating their experience as good or very good.

CHCP provide over 50 NHS-funded community health and care services and use feedback from patients to improve the care they offer. As well as the FFT, an annual patient survey allows patients the chance to give more in-depth reviews of their care and treatment and the Service User Voice group meets regularly.

Many people send in compliments, cards and gifts to thank the staff involved in looking after them. One person said, "Fabulous staff. I brought my son into Bransholme urgent care this morning as he required an X-ray on his injured foot. We were told there was a three hour wait time. The staff there are so patient and kind. The waiting area is spotlessly clean, as are the toilets. There’s a place to get a hot drink and drinking water is available.

"Whilst we were waiting an elderly gentleman asked the staff how much longer he’d have to wait as he has diabetes and would need to eat soon. The staff came around the counter and offered him biscuits and a coffee, then even managed to produce a small snack. Not only did the lady make this all part of the service she thanked the gentleman for advising them (the staff) of his condition. I feel like this centre and the staff have it completely right, the patients are treated with care from the moment they arrive. Old fashioned care from true professional people. My son was seen within the three hours (as advised) and we were on our way again."
