What to expect

Assessment Appointment

Once your referral has been received it will be triaged by a specialist nurse and if meets the service criteria you will be sent an appointment either by letter or an offer to self-book will be sent via text message.

The telephone assessment is carried out by a specialist bladder and bowel nurse, and the appointment can take up to one hour.

You will need to complete the bladder and bowel charts as these form an integral part of the assessment and assists the assessing nurse in determining the type of bladder and or bowel problem that you have.

Following the assessment, if you need a clinical examination, you will be offered an appointment. Bladder and Bowel clinics are across both Hull and East Riding and you will be offered the next available appointment.

If you meet the home visit criteria, then a home visit can be offered.
