East Riding PAN Disability League

East Riding PAN Disability League provides individuals who have a mental health problem and/or learning difficulties the opportunity to play football. The league is fully affiliated to the local County Football Association and looks to adapt the way it is run to suit the needs of the participants.

Teams are made up of different departments of the NHS and also several other organisations. They work on a basis to include both staff and patients playing on the same side. The group helps to increase the relationship between staff and patients and can help the aid to recovery, by also increasing individual’s confidence, self-belief and various social skills to help when integrating in everyday life.

The grant provided will enable East Riding PAN Disability League to deliver an 11 a side football competition played at a central venue. The grant will also contribute to the insurance and membership needed to become a member of the league.
