Mental Health Support Services

Mental Health Support Services is a charity which works with adults suffering from mental health issues. Working one to one with their service users, they help support and relieve adults who have mental health issues.

The work of Mental Health Support Services enables the people using the service to work through past and present causes of their mental health issues, which affect their health, wellbeing and everyday living.

Mental Health Support Services support their service users for meetings and appointments regarding employment, medical needs or housing. People who access the service rarely only have just one issue, Mental Health Support Services are able to support and signpost them to other services, such as counselling, therapy and mental health services which they may not be aware of. A drop in session is also held once a week so that service users can pop-in with any issues they feel that they need help with, without an appointment.

The grant provided by CHCP Foundation will allow the charity to deliver a 12 week craft group for the service users, which will enable them to interact with other people who have mental health issues. The group will enable service users to gain confidence, self-esteem and emotional support.
