Giving PPE to community groups

21 September, 2020

Community and voluntary groups have struggled to carry on providing vital support through the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly because they weren’t able to get hold of enough PPE to protect their members and the public. City Health Care Partnership Foundation, the charitable arm of City Health Care Partnership CIC, has donated PPE to two community groups to enable them to continue with their vital work.

Many groups submit applications for grants to CHCP Foundation and during the Covid-19 pandemic, the charity was able to innovate and transition to online meetings, accepting more donation requests than ever before.

Two of applications were asking for funds to purchase PPE due to national shortages early in the pandemic and the absolute need to have them to continue with their valuable work.

Humber All Nations Alliance and Friends of St. Margaret’s Welcome Centre were not only given the funds they requested, CHCP Foundation also donated 60 face visors to HANA and 15 face visors to Friends of St. Margaret’s Welcome Centre.

Francis Ahiakpa, CEO at HANA and Jill Lister, Café Manager at Friends of St. Margaret’s both expressed their thanks and gratitude when Rebecca Scarr, CHCP Foundation Trustee delivered the visors.

Applications are now being accepted for the next round of small grant and Green Health Grant applications, with a deadline of 1 November 2020. Please visit our website for more information, application forms and guidance: https://www.chcpcic.org.uk/chcp-services/chcp-foundation
