CHAMPs Awards Nominations 2026

The CHAMPs Award (Caring, Helpful Amazing People) wants to celebrate and thank carers for all they do, recognising the vital contribution they make to individuals, families, services and communities.

The Carers Information & Support Service as part of Hull’s Carers Partnership Board will be hosting the third Hull Carers Award Ceremony which will take place on, Tuesday 24th November 2026 at 12:30pm to 4pm at Guildhall, Hull.

Do you know a carer who is making a difference and deserves an award?

The categories are:

Adult Unpaid Carer

Celebrating adult unpaid carers aged 18+ who give their time, energy and compassion to support another adult who could not manage without them. Their dedication, patience and selflessness deserve to be recognised.

Young Carer Award

Shining a light on young people under 18 who take on caring responsibilities with courage and resilience. From helping at home to supporting a parent or sibling, these young carers make a big difference every day.

Workplace Caring Award

Recognising the colleagues who make caring and working feel possible. Their understanding, flexibility and support can make a real difference for carers in the workplace.

Sandwich Carer Award

For the incredible people balancing care for older loved ones, raising a family and work life all at once. They keep everything moving with strength, love and determination.

Carers Champion Award

Celebrating trained Carers Champions who go above and beyond to raise awareness, share support and advocate for unpaid carers. They turn knowledge into action and help others feel seen and supported.

Parent Carer Award

Honouring parent carers who go the extra mile for a child or young person aged 25 or under with additional needs, a disability or a long-term health condition. Their love and determination help their child thrive.

Community Caring Award

Recognising the community heroes who support unpaid carers through compassion, connection and practical help. From creating groups and activities to simply being there when needed, their impact matters.

Paid Carer Award

Celebrating paid carers whose compassion and commitment transform lives. They provide outstanding support, understand the realities of caring and bring reassurance when it matters most.

Older Unpaid Carer (65+) Award

Honouring unpaid carers aged 65+ whose strength and dedication make a lasting difference. They continue to support a loved one with resilience and unwavering commitment.
