CHCP wins UK Social Enterprise Award
27 November, 2025
We are delighted to have won Social Enterprise Innovation of the Year at the UK Social Enterprise Awards.
City Health Care Partnership CIC (CHCP) is one of over 100,000 social enterprises in the UK – businesses that trade for a social or environmental purpose and reinvest at least half their profits to further their vital mission. With stiff competition from hundreds of entrants across 15 categories, this prestigious prize recognises the brightest stars in our brilliant sector, so it’s a real honour to win.
Dr Andy Noble, one of the Frailty team who scooped this award, said, “It was fantastic to be able to pick up this award for CHCP and it speaks volumes for the efforts of our team over the last year to introduce and integrate ambient voice scribes into our service. There is lots more to come with this tech, it will be really exciting bringing this to the rest of CHCP in the coming year. We mustn't forget that this tech needs to be used safely and adhere to NHS regulations and so we couldn't have done this without the support of our new "Digital Team". We will be really excited to see how this grows and develops in the coming years. We are now well placed as an organisation to continue to innovate and be at the forefront of this technology. A big thanks to all involved.”
We collected our trophy in a glittering ceremony which took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall at London’s Southbank Centre on 26 November. The Awards were hosted by the national sector body Social Enterprise UK.
The theme of the evening was a Festival of Hope and the ceremony was a real celebration of the entrepreneurs, the makers, the community builders, the job creators, the radicals and the dreamers who make up the social enterprise movement. The theme played into the original Festival of Britain, for which the Southbank Centre was originally built and which aimed to bring the country together after the war and look forward to a brighter future.
With rising economic inequalities and social divisions against the backdrop of the climate crisis, social enterprises are offering hope to communities across the country. They are creating jobs for the people and places that need them most, creating opportunities and second chances, delivering innovative and people-centred public services, and operating in a way that protects our planet.
Peter Holbrook CBE, chief executive of Social Enterprise UK, said, “Every year brings its challenges for businesses, but 2025 saw a difficult economic trading environment alongside a sometimes unsettling national conversation on what it means to be British that dominated the political landscape.
“It was therefore truly heartening to celebrate businesses built on care and compassion that support the most vulnerable members of our communities, representing Britain at its best. The spirit of togetherness demonstrated by all the nominated social enterprises was the foundation for a fantastic night of well-deserved celebration.”
