Wound Care
Our Treatment Room and Community Nursing service provides non-urgent care for open wounds, breaks to the skin and ulcers. We provide care, treatment and advice to help your wound heal.
Please read all the information on this page before making your referral. |
If you think your wound needs urgent care, for example, bleeding that may require sutures (stitches) or clips, you must:

If you think you have an infection in your wound you must have this treated BEFORE you make a referral into the wound care service. If you think you have an infection you can:

To access the wound care service you must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a Hull or East Riding GP OR live in the Hull and East Riding area and be willing to register with a Hull or East Riding GP.
- Have an open wound, break to your skin or ulcer which does not require urgent treatment and is not infected OR have a wound that needs clips or sutures (stitches) removing following surgery.
We do not provide:
- Dressing removal or a wound check following surgery
