All volunteers will receive an extensive training package to provide them with all the skills they need to feel confident and capable in their volunteering roles.
All volunteers will undergo training for:
- Safeguarding adults and children
- Health and safety in the workplace
- Equality and diversity
- COSHH awareness
- Fire safety awareness
- Lone working Information governance
- Non-clinical moving and handling
There is also the opportunity for specialist training relevant to your volunteering role including dementia training, first aid and mental health first aid.
All volunteers will undergo a DBS and occupational health check provided by CHCP, a reference check as well as a face-to-face interview before beginning in their role. This application process can take up to 8 weeks.
