Driffield and District Disabled Sports Club

Driffield and District Disabled Sports Club aim to promote and develop opportunities for disabled people in the Driffield area to access swimming to improve the health and wellbeing of their members. The club provides water aerobics which is an excellent form of exercise and therapy for their members.

Driffield and District Disabled Sports Club works with people of all ages and all kinds of disabilities including severe learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and down’s syndrome.

The grant provided will enable the club to continue taking their members to Driffield Leisure Centre once a week as they use community transport. The transport allows disabled people in outlying villages to access the facility, in 2014 the club ran a gala for disabled swimmers from their club and for Beverley, Haltemprice and Goole disabled swimming clubs.
