Hull Civic Society

Hull Civic Society is a charitable organisation which is dedicated to improving the City Health Care Partnership CIC of Hull and its environment, enhancing the quality of life of its residents and promoting enlightened planning whilst protecting its rich heritage.

The society runs Hull’s National Heritage open day in September each year, for which they have received the National Heritage open day’s award for Creative Thinking in 2014.

The grant provided will contribute towards Hull Civic Society inviting local artists, individuals or groups to participate in a city wide exhibition ‘Hull in Paint 2015’ as part of UK City of Culture 2017. Artists will paint the letters H U L L as live water based painting activity of images or words which evoke and highlight local landmarks within the community.
