Hull Red CIC
Hull Red CIC is managed by a board of trustees and run by a group of volunteers, offering social opportunities for people with learning disabilities through artistic media.
The company was set up to address the issue of social isolation amongst those with learning disabilities, often manifesting as depression or challenging behaviour. Following requests from members they have run workshops in DJ skills and dance and themed nights such as Halloween and Christmas.
The grant provided will enable Hull Red CIC to hold their festival with the emphasis on making everything accessible by providing facilities specifically for those with learning disabilities, including those with profound and multiple disabilities. 1,500 people will attend the festival.
