Longhill Ravens - under 15s
Longhill Ravens Under 15’s is a youth football club which evolved when ‘Blackburns Football Club’ disbanded in 2008. Its main aim is to interact with the local community through football. Currently Longhill Ravens has around 16 young people on its books, some of the young people have been with the club since they were 8 or 9 years of age and developed their skills. The club brings together the local community, and is volunteer led, with around 25+ parents being involved in the club. The club boasts top division football.
The club would like to expand its training sessions with more ‘intense’ sessions, this has resulted in various equipment that would need to be purchased to make training more ‘rewarding’ and improve the fitness levels of the young people involved to a much higher level. Equipment such as training ladders, cones, stamp out racism banners, etc. would improve this. The club at present lacks any form of equipment and training is mainly done on a school field with minimal impact on the young people’s fitness levels.
