Type 1 Diabetes and Eating Disorders

‘Around 1 in 50 people with Type 1 Diabetes have an eating disorder’

(Diabetes UK:2026).

At Evolve we can help if you have Type 1 Diabetes and an eating disorder (you may know this as T1DE) are aged 18 or over and have a Hull GP.

We will support you to manage your diabetes whilst having treatment for your eating disorder. You may have joint appointments with an Eating Disorder Practitioner and your Diabetes Specialist Nurse.

You can refer yourself, someone else, or a patient online by clicking here and choosing the EVOLVE form. Your GP or diabetes specialist can also refer you to Evolve.

It’s Eating Disorders Awareness week from 2 to 8 March 2020 and Evolve – Hull Community Eating Disorder Service want to raise awareness of eating disorders in men.
