Bowel Care
Our community nursing service provides non-urgent bowel care for people who have been examined by their GP or other health care professional (for example, a nurse).
Our care includes giving you suppositories or enemas that have been prescribed for you in your home.

This bowel care service is for people who fit these criteria:
- Over 18 years old
- Have a Hull or East Riding GP OR live in the Hull and East Riding area and be willing to register with a Hull or East Riding GP
- Have been examined in the last 48 hours by your GP or health care professional and advised to refer yourself to our team
- Have the enema or suppository ready at home for when the nurse visits you.
We do not provide:
- Urgent assessment or diagnosis of bowel problems
